Making It Up As I Go Along - Marian Keyes

I have always liked Marian Keyes as an author, she has a light touch and always makes me smile.  In this book, she leaves the fiction behind and shares stories from her own life, from articles that have been published or never been shown before.

She is brutally honest about her anxiety and shyness, and made me smile when she talked about her family, her parents, brothers and sister in laws and nieces and nephews.  With a variety of topics and lots of stories, the book came together that made it not feel like lots of disjointed essays.  Instead I felt like I got to know a lot about her and liked her even more as a person. 4/5
