Invictis

Invictis - DVD (2009)

Rugby is the most popular sport in NZ, so we all know how this story ends. I guess it is meant to be inspiring and show how sport can save the world, but I found it a little bit of a snooze fest. Morgan Freeman, as always is awesome, and his awesomeness cannot even eclipse that of Nelson Mandela, but I missed his norma accent. A voice that can send you to sleep as there is so much rhythm in his speech, he could read the phone book and make it seem like Shakespear.

Lucky it was raining, and there wasn't much else to watch. 2/5

oh, morgan freeman is indeed lovely! watching "million dollar baby" right now and his voice is as you say, totally awesome too. though no matter how awesome you'd never ever find me watching a movie on sports (unless possibly if it's free on the telly to record...)

I expect the book Invictus is based on is more true to the details of what happened and not just a "Rugby Story". The South African accents for Freeman and Damon were somewhat off. But it is an interesting historical story. Sorry the All Blacks lost :-)
